I'm Don. An avid and mature gamer. I'm also an Indie Games Developer & Music Composer.
You can check out my VidMe channel at: vid.me/MysticSword
Though my content will be largely gaming related (with "Let's Plays" and such), you can also find Humor, Tutorials, Relaxing Scenes, Music (mostly my own compositions), Vlogs and more.
I've been running a YouTube channel for a few years now, but I feel it's steadily become more restrictive there. Most of my videos there hardly gets any views and channel growth has been really slow. I've put in a lot of time, work and even resources to create content. It was a labor of love, something I usually enjoy doing and something I enjoy sharing. But at YouTube I sort of feel like I'm spinning my wheels and hardly getting anywhere with it, not really feeling noticed or appreciated much there and the so called "community" there is often toxic.
So, though I know that YouTube has a monopoly with the online videos scene where independent creators make and share videos, I was really hoping for an alternative. A place that I could feel welcome, appreciated and that perhaps I had a better chance to get my content notice and to grow.
So thankfully I finally found VidMe. I'm still fairly new with VidMe, though I did sign up an account there a few months ago, but then I got busy with life stuff and other priorities and sort of forget about it. However recently I decided to take my time and really look it over, to try to get a good foundation started for my channel and to be active in the community. In the relatively short time I've been active there I've since had my channel Verified (Yay!), have many of my videos receiving views, up-votes and comments, gaining some Followers and even making friends in the Community.
Though I'm more of an introvert, already VidMe is inspiring me to want more "come out of my shell" and to get busy with creating more content. I feel like VidMe will be my new "home" now!
I wish you all good luck with your endevours and best wishes.
Looking forward to continuing to be a part of and grow with VidMe, active in the Community and making more friends.
